I’m an editor and project manager specialising in educational books and early childhood literacy projects.
With over 15 years’ publishing experience, my publishing career took off in London where I worked as a publishing manager at magazine agency, Cedar Communications. I began my freelance career in book publishing in South Africa in 2010.
My clients tell me that working with me is like putting their project in a ‘safe pair of hands’ because:
I focus on the details, establish the client’s needs right from the get-go and keep my process completely transparent.
I also deliver on time, every time.
Some of my previous contracts have included:
- editorial consulting to Wordworks, an early childhood literacy NGO in Cape Town;
- managing the reprint corrections of 108 titles for Pearson Education (across all 11 South African languages);
- commissioning content for foundation phase English readers for Oxford University Press and
- editing children’s books for Worldreader.
I’m a champion of early childhood literacy and when I’m not writing and editing, I busy myself with literacy NGOs, authoring children’s books and helping children write and illustrate their own books.
